GiveLoop is a social, online donation tool that enables donors to "vote with their money," increasing donation rates, the number of repeat donors, and the overall number of visitors to a site. Checkout our product tour here.
Our mission is to make fundraising more transparent, effective, and engaging. We believe that openness benefits both the giver and receiver. On a bigger scale, we wish to promote transparency on all levels, including how we operate our own business. In order to be a more transparent company, we want GiveLoop users and fans to ask anything they want about the company directly to its co-founders Brian Foo and Todd Spitz. We will try to answer as best as we can as long as it doesn't violate our privacy policy. Also check out GiveLoop's transparency blog here and our transparency resources here.
Wondering what the "Loop" means in GiveLoop? We believe in the mutual benefit of transparency + feedback loops, illustrated here in the GiveLoop Loop.
GiveLoop is absolutely free to use- there is no subscription fee or transaction fee if you are collecting donations. How do we make money? We ask the donor to pay a small fee (currently 5% of the donation plus any applicable credit card fees) for each donation. We also give the donor the ability to adjust their donation amount to offset the transaction fee. Learn more about our fees here.
Our general rule is: if you collect donations online or would like to collect donations online, and would benefit from being transparent and collecting user feedback, then GiveLoop is for you. Types of campaigns might include non-profits, charities, schools, software developers, websites, bloggers, fundraisers, campaigns, and projects.

1.) You will list out the things you would like to raise money for, and how much each item will cost. 2.) Then, promote your donation page by embedding widgets on your site or linking to your donation page. 3.) Donors can then choose or suggest things they would like you to spend their money on. 4.) After they donate, you can keep your donors up-to-date on the status of each item through the donation feed.
We believe it is in your benefit to spend your money how your donors want you to. Building trust through transparency and communication with your donors will likely increase your donor retention and frequency. That said, all donations on our site are non-restrictive and you are not obligated to spend the money you raise according to donor preference.
In order to receive payments, you must first select a payment method by clicking 'payments' on your campaign toolbar.
On your campaign toolbar, click 'Integrate'. Here, follow the instructions to embedding widgets or buttons onto your website. View our donor recipient guide for more details.

Although there is no guarantee, we encourage our donation recipients to be as transparent as possible by giving them the tools (e.g. donation feed, item proof) to easily communicate how they spend their money and what things they are working on. You can do your part by engaging them on their donation feed and communicating with them what you would like to see as far as transparency or accountability. Have more ideas on how we can improve transparency or accountability? Let us know! We're always looking to improve our service.
